Petersburg Library Foundation Receives Gift from The First Baptist Church

Petersburg, VA – The First Baptist Church recently presented the Foundation $2,500.00 towards the construction of the new library.

Petersburg Library Foundation receives $1,000 for new Library

Petersburg, VA – The Ministers Wives and Ministers Widows Foundation, Inc. (MWMWF) recently awarded the Petersburg Library Foundation a gift of $1,000 to help build the new library that will be located on the corner of Washington and Market Streets.  The MWMWF was founded by the Ministers Wives and Widows Alliance of Petersburg and Vicinity, and was chartered in 1953.  It’s primary mission is to receive and distribute funds for religious, educational and charitable causes.  One of its first major projects was the securing of funds to publish a book of comfort for families who lost loved ones in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.  Dr. Antrynette Walker-Hall, president, Dr. Lorettea Braxton, treasurer, Mrs. Brenda Morrison, president-elect, and Mrs. Inez G. Scott, board member.  Representing the Petersburg Library: Yvette Robinson, board member, Reverend Andrew White, and Cindy Morgan, co-chairs for the capital campaign.
