The Petersburg Library Foundation was formed in 2002 for the sole purpose of raising the necessary capital to construct a new 56,000 sf. state-of-the-art public library. The campaign, known as "The Gateway to the World" will provide the financial resources to address the current library system's challenges. The new facility will serve as the center point of our great city. With an expanded children's area, technology center, meeting rooms, large multi-purpose conference center, cafe', ADA compliant, and expanded collections, the new community education facility will provide equitable access and resources to all citizens and visitors of Petersburg.

Exciting news: Prep work is beginning at the site for the new Petersburg Public Library. Installation of the additional storm sewer system needed before construction can take place is beginning in February!
